Caller identification
The system had to recognise registered phone numbers on dial-in and fall back to a PIN for everyone else.
Prepaid calling, fully self-service.
We built Callingo for Next Generation Communication: a call shop platform that connects callers through access numbers, manages prepaid accounts and payments, and routes each call over the cheapest route.

What stood in the way.
A prepaid calling service has to identify callers as they dial in, keep balances topped up and connect calls at a competitive cost. It also has to take payments from several sources.
The system had to recognise registered phone numbers on dial-in and fall back to a PIN for everyone else.
Customers needed to recharge by PayPal, credit card or voucher, and some wanted balances recharged automatically.
The platform had to work with popular credit and account processing merchants, including PayPal and First Data.
Each call needed to be routed over the cheapest available route.
How we answered it.
We built Callingo as an ecommerce calling application with three modules: a client module, an admin module and the calling service. Together they handle registration, dial-in validation, payments, history and call routing.
The parts that made the difference.
When a user dials an access number, the system validates their phone number or asks for a PIN, then connects the call to the number they want.
Users register a phone number to their account, or are given a PIN, and can add numbers to speed dial.
Users recharge their account with PayPal, credit card or a valid voucher number, through integrated PayPal and First Data gateways.
A Windows service runs at set intervals, finds accounts with auto-recharge enabled and a low balance, and recharges them from the customer's credit card.
What changed for the client.
Callingo gives customers a self-service way to register, pay and call, and has been in continuous development with our team since June 2011.
